International Inspirational Wellness Leaders Announced for Wellness Festival Mauritius 2020
Organisers of the Wellness Festival Mauritius, the largest of its kind in the Indian Ocean, have announced several international wellness experts to lead and inspire its 2020 edition. Hosted by Heritage Resorts in southern Mauritius and set to take place on 22-24th May 2020, the festival will offer a three-day programme of wellness experiences and workshops to enable guests to find better wellness, greater happiness, health and fulfilment.

The wellness leaders will share their experience during 60 workshops and inspiration talks which will cover six dimensions of wellness and wellbeing, including Mind-Body Practice, Nature Connection, Holistic Health, Personal Development, Artistic Expression, and Spirituality.
Here are some of the international inspirational wellness leaders:
Elodie Garamond – France
Elodie has been the organiser of the Women Spirit Festival since 2017. She founded the Tigre Yoga Club, a group of 9 wellness centres offering 60 different types of wellness therapy across France to address everyday issues such as energy drain, back aches, emotional stress, and uneasy sleep. She will be giving a talk at the festival called How to change your life: How yoga can help you build all the tools you need for success, and will host several workshops on meditation, pranayama, and morning routines.
Susan Gwaltney – USA
Susan Gwaltney is a certified Vibrational Sound Therapist. She has been trained by KRI in Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and is a certified Deeksha healer with Oneness University in India. She will bring her in-depth knowledge of Sound Healing, Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, and Meditation to help guests expand their energy pathways, awareness, vitality in health. Susan will offer Kundalini Yoga sessions as well as individual Vibrational Sound Therapy sessions with Himalayan Bowls to help guests achieve deep relaxation and a state of meditation.
Natasha Boojihawon – UK
Natasha is a Transformational Holistic Therapist and public speaker. She trained for over 15 years in key therapeutic areas such as IFS psychotherapy, naturopathy, ancient Himalayan Vedic and Tantric yogic lineages, shamanic and other ancient, indigenous practices, energy medicine and quantum modalities and breathwork. She will offer practical talks and practice sessions such as Conscious Relating to Self & Others - based on techniques from Internal Family Systems and the Himalayan Yogic Philosophy, Spiritual Awakening, and Consciousness & Kundalini.
Durga Holzhauser – Germany
Born in Austria, Durga is an International Spiritual Teacher, Visionary and Author. She founded her first spiritual centre in Düsseldorf before expanding to France. Durga specialises in helping guests soothe their soul by guiding it towards a sense of purpose, which she calls “Soulvision.”
She will give three talks and workshops during the festival, aimed to enable guests to rethink and redesign their life towards improving their wellbeing. Talks she will give include “Spiritual Leadership” and “You dreamed your life in Heaven.”
Also attending will be Sherri Griffin (USA) who specialises in Energy work such as Reiki, Shift Sessions, and Aura Work. She will be hosting several workshops to help guests find what she calls their “Soul Paths” and alignment with their soul.
Author France Guillain (France), who wrote 50 books on Natural Health and Travel, will host a workshop called “Miam-Ô-Fruit” in which guests will learn how to eat their way to health by combatting illness and remove inflammation.
South African vinyasa and yin teacher Amy Attenborough will host several workshops at the heart of the beautiful Mauritian nature. She is a specialist in wellness safaris that incorporate yoga, meditation, mindfulness and personalised life coaching, and will offer guests life-changing experiences in the beautiful wilderness.
The festival will be based at Heritage Resorts’ C Beach Club in serene surroundings between the reef and a nature reserve. Some practices will be held in amongst Mauritian nature with activities such as forest bathing, meditation, mindfulness and breathing exercises held in the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage sites of Le Morne and the Biosphere Nature Reserve.
Other features of the festival include an art exhibition with local artists; all-day healthy and nutritious cuisine with local recipes; a children’s wellness zone for kids between 3-12 years old; a dedicated area for teenagers from 13-17 years; music corners that encourage audience participation, and evening musical concerts provided by local bands with the audience encouraged to let go and dance along.

Guests can stay onsite at the 5-star Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort from £168 per night, including daily festival ticket.
Alternatively, visitors can stay at Veranda Tamarin in Tamarin Bay (45 minutes’ drive from the festival) from £124 per night, including daily festival ticket.
The festival costs £227 for the 3-day pass and this includes breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, all practice sessions, workshops and entertainment. Participants welcome from the age of 13 years plus. All participants pay for an adult ticket.
