Dutchman Tim Sluiter claimed an impressive two shot victory at the stunning Las Colinas Golf & Country Club to win the Q-School Second Stage.
· The top 21 qualified to the next stage with some big names just missing out, as Las Colinas Golf & Country Club host a great tournament
· “It is a great venue, with very friendly staff, with a great golf course and facilities. Certainly one of the best golf courses I have played in Spain and it will surely only get better as it matures in to a top championship golf course”. Byeong-Hun AN![]()
Proceedings drew to a close at the stunning Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, one of Spain’s grandest leisure facilities, with Dutchman Tim Sluiter claiming an impressive victory. Sluiter carried a two shot lead into the final day after a stunning 66 on day 3; having carded four impressive sub seventy rounds Sluiter finished at 16 under par 2 shots ahead of Denmark’s Morten Orum Madsen who put up a tough fight, but just fell short. Throughout the tournament the lead changed hands many times but many players were in with a sniff all week, most notably Englishman Benn Barham who continued his remarkable rehabilitation from kidney cancer with another consistent display on the final day and as thrived on the excellent course conditions in the Spanish sun.
